About the Luthier

All of my life I have held a deep appreciation of hand craftsmanship and music. From my great uncle's rural Ohio woodshop to urban museums of fine art and from my mother's sewing to Maori jade carving. I have always been fascinated and moved by objects of beauty and functionality brought into existence by the human heart and hand.

Eco-Instruments:
A Statement of Policy and Intent

A lot of us love nature and participate in recycling as well as making choices that are "green" and "organic". Careful management of our resources to ensure sustainability, as well as cleverly reusing materials at hand, are considerations we must be mindful of in order to keep our planet healthy. From shoes to handbags and insulation to hybrid cars, the marketplace is flooded with options that are ecologically conscientious - but as musicians, how many us have sought out or demanded a green guitar?

Construction

All of my models are unique body shapes designed by myself. Each shape provides a quality aesthetic that wraps itself around a well planned resonant air chamber. The concise footprint of my standard guitar bridge is placed in the center of the vibratory area of the top plate for the most efficient transfer of string energy to top movement.
